Be Fearless Like A Weatherman and Talk Like a Boss

Sometimes you just have to stick to your guns in the face of all that skepticism, like the weatherman boss.

If anyone knows what it’s like to speak into the gaping maw of skepticism, it’s the weatherman, or the meteorologist. People think they’re full of it, but you still need them and they are right probably more often than not, so they plod on and predict that weather even though some people do noting but make fun of them and doubt what they say.

Just as in sales of any kind, but especially network marketing and other types of marketing or direct selling, you have to talk in the face of skepticism and mockery, just like the weatherman does. Do it like a boss and remember you’re doing it for their own good.

Honestly, don’t ya sometimes feel like that dude from that movie series, The Anchorman, the way some people look at network and affiliate marketers, like anything you say is untrue or something like that?

I mean look at that guy.

He’s fearless.
He’s brave.

He’s The Weatherman!

In that movie, Brick Tamland is the fearless weatherman, and although he’s clueless… okay so he’s clueless and we’re not, but we know that look that people give him is the same look that people give us even though we know that what we’re offering is real even if there is a lot of misinformation out there among the general public about what we do.

The bottom line is that we just have to suck it up and put our best foot forward and show them that what we offer is something that they need in this cynical world of “money doesn’t grow on trees” and “Who do you think I am, Rockefeller?”

We have to challenge those old notions that many think are true that have kept them down for so long.

One of my favorites is one from my uncle from when I was younger, “Work is work.  If it was fun it wouldn’t be called work.”  That really kept him down and it keeps a lot of people down, many people who get that same gloating look on their faces when they look at the average network marketer or affiliate marketer with that sad prideful look of “we’re all screwed so come back to reality and be screwed with the rest of us because misery loves company” look.

You know that look!

So you have to be a BOSS!

Preach it from the mountain tops!

Be proud of being what you are and offering a way out and you will find those who that message resonates with.

Understand that the majority prefer to live their hopeless lives mired in the average.

Just don’t let em get you down, because when you keep that dream alive you have hope.

When you have hope, hopefully you take action.

When you take action, (daily) results will come.

It’s a formula and you need to stick to the formula.

Remember that you were probably one of those skeptical people, just like the skeptic who pokes fun of the weatherman when he makes a wrong or not so accurate prediction.

But he kept someone out of harms way with that prediction, just like you keep someone out of the poor house or debtors prison with your message of hope and prosperity.

The next time you see someone making fun of the weatherman, think of that happy look on Brick Tamland’s face.

No one gets him down, and no one should get you down.

Stay classy, network marketers and online marketers!

Stay classy!
